Here’s the red band, (which means fruity language is included), trailer for the latest Jesse Eisenberg movie. Hot on the heels of his critically acclaimed performance in David Fincher’s The Social Network comes this low budget comedy 30 Minutes Or Less which also stars Danny McBride and the ever watchable Aziz Ansari.
Directed by Ruben Fleischer, (Zombieland), it involves the kidnapping of a pizza delivery boy by two crooks who strap explosives to his chest and instruct him to rob a bank or he’ll be blown to smitherens. Paniced and fearing the worst he enlists the help of his ex-best friend and hilarity ensues.
The plot of this movie is actually loosely based on a real event in 2003, which involved 46 year-old Brian Wells who was abducted while delivering pizza and forced to wear a bomb around his neck and was ordered to rob a bank by his kidnappers. Unlike the movie above, this story was devoid of any form of hilarity and unfortunately resulted in the death of Wells.
Yeah…not so funny now, eh? But enjoy the trailer above, the movie looks like a total hoot!
